Founded in 2005, Onkata is a family-owned hardware sales company located in Bellingham, Washington, which has successfully transitioned into a prominent online retailer. To maintain its competitive edge, Onkata utilizes a range of tools from its seller platform, such as A/B testing and comprehensive analytics, to evaluate performance outcomes.
Our client runs a third-party seller platform equipped with a variety of tools designed to help sellers grow their businesses. However, these tools were often hard to locate and use, leading to low adoption rates. To address this, our client aimed to launch an awareness and marketing campaign to educate sellers about the various tools available and how they could enhance their sales experience on the platform.
To optimize our client’s messaging strategy, we conducted preliminary meetings, interviewed the highlighted company, coordinated the on-camera participants, their statements, and the drone footage.
Our pre-production efforts helped create a detailed shot list and a solid plan for the shooting day across three locations. We conducted interviews, captured drone footage of the exterior, and filmed interior scenes in the hardware store. We also recorded B-Roll at a chicken feed factory, which experienced notable sales growth during the pandemic.
The diverse footage from the shoot allowed us to craft a compelling narrative about how third-party platform tools influenced Onkata’s sales. Mentor showcased how the experiments tool helped identify the best product titles and images to enhance sales. Additionally, we made several edits and added branded motion graphics to align with our client’s marketing objectives.
